my washing machine had been on a short while and gave a loud pop sound and turned off all electrics so I turned fuse back on in fuse box and although the machine lights are on it will not start up again

any ideas or has it had it? same thing happened to last machine and just bought a new one

Helps if you post the make, model and product number

Possible causes are door lock failure 'sometimes causing PCB damage'
Motor brushes worn/motor damaged
Heater failure

As a first look though I would suspect door interlock failure, look on pcb for damaged tracks or connections

thank you -

I dont really understand too much of that but it is a servis M6725W and they are under administration so no chance of getting them out to sort it out Im afraid

Servis went bust nearly 2 years ago, parts are getting harder to come by.

The PCB's (circuit board) were a weak point on them with bad joints on components quite common.
