Waste Disposal Unit

I have only got a single kitchen sink and would ideally like to fir a waste disposal unit, does anyone know if this is possible? I realise I may have to change the kitchen sink, but will still only have room for a single sink.

Is it possible to have a waste disposal unit with only a single sink?

..you just need a sink with a large waste hole in it...then when the disposal unit dies, you fit a "basket strainer waste" in it`s place
