I'm confused about what the minimum gradient is for a waste pipe I'm planning to install.

Looking at the table of minimum gradients in the approved document H it seems to give a minimum gradient of 1:80 (min. 1 WC) for 100 mm pipe as well as the minimum of 1:40 that seems to be the standard answer given here.

I'm hoping to install a utility room and downstairs toilet, so the waste pipe would serve a toilet, two sinks and a washing machine. It would involve an eight metre run to the waste stack. Is this practical to achieve and would it be appropriate to use the 1:80 figure?

Many thanks,
Colin

Buillding regs say between 9 and 90mm per metre run.
McGuire said 1 in 40 (25mm/metre)
