Does the pipe fit into the trap ,40mm diameter pipe should be used for a shower ?Does the nut on the right hand side of your pic screw onto the trap/ are the threads compatible ?

Can I recommend you get a trap with a straight outlet. Trying to use a fitting that isn't actually supplied with the trap could be risky and a possible failure point. Just isn't worth the risk. Loads available.
