Hi
I installed a bathroom some 12 months ago. Before I did, i noticed that the ledge of the bath behind the taps "dipped" in the corner. I assumed this was normal and that I would be able to raise the corner during installation. I couldn't lift the corner without pushing the entire bath out of level and this would have caused problems with the bath draining so I installed it with the dip in the corner. Of course water collects in this corner and we have to keep a spoge there permanently, however the silicon is blackened and appears to have disintegrated.

My question is what can I do? Even if I reinstall the bath the dip will still be there. Is this a manufacturing fault? Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Such is the wonderful quality of the bits he have to deal with, and the tribulations of the plumber!
Can only suggest:
There are some much better anti-mould sealants around now, have a good look in your syringe boutique, or a plumbers merchant.
Perhaps if you heated the corner of the bath, with a hair dryer or paint stripping heat gun carefully from underneath, you could bend the corner up. Pain taking it all out though.
