Hi

I have a Gloworm combi boiler which is vented to the back of the house. The flue is covered by a plastic 'basket' cover.
The flue/vent seems to let water in which has twice blown the circuit board in the boiler.
The first time it happened it appeared to be a leak from the guttering which has since been replaced. However, it has happened again and I am wondering whether it is because the back of the house is exposed and we get a lot of rain and wind. The water seems to fall onto the plastic cover, drip onto the outer part of the flue and back into the boiler.
Is there any kind of 'hood' that could be fixed over the flue to prevent the water from dripping into it and back into the boiler? Is this legal?

Thanks for any suggestions.
