Hi
I have read through lots of posts but haven't found an answer to this problem so here goes ...
I noticed some water dripping out of the bottom of my "open vent boiler" this is a non-combi type boiler and the make and model is Vaillant EcoMax Pro 28.
The Condensor assy screwcap seemed to be split so I have ordered a replacement but then I found another leak from the Flue at the top of the boiler - I have checked the flue is sloping down into the boiler [which it is] so I then sealed the flue by applying silicone sealant around the flue claps.
At first this seemed to be a success until today I noticed it dripping again, the flue is now dripping water on the inside of the boiler and running down the face of the burner .
I seem to be chasing the leak.
My next plan is to remove the condenser drain pipe outside to check it is not blocked and backing up the condensation - if this is not the problem I will call in a pro to replace the flue.
Has anyone experienced something similar ?
