Hi I have a Biasi 24s that has started to drip from the diverter valve causing a loss of pressure in CH system. at first it was very minute drops but now it is sheding up to 1/2 a litre of water/day. this is especially common AFTER using DHW (not during). I have shown it 2 plumbers - the first guy reckons the whole valve needs replacing and the second chap say it just needs serving (replacement of diaphragm). I am a novice at these sorts of things and would appreciate any guidance on whom to believe or what to expect in terms of cost for repair/replacement. Also any idea how much a service may cost for this boiler. I thought getting a couple of quotes would be a good indicator but because they are claiming to different solutions I don't know what to do. PLEASE HELP>>

Go with the second guy, the first is aparts swapper the second has fixed one before by the sound of it.

No idea what you would have to pay in B'ham.

Cheers paul. reply to the first chap : I am not trying to rob anyone of their living all i want to insure is I am not being skanked and hence seeking advice. as it happens these chaps were quoting similar prices. I do intend to use a pro any way but its difficult to decide for a novice when u get conflicting advice from the pro's. Pardon me for thinking that this was a Plumbing and central heating issues forum. :!:
