water leaking under the sink

I have the situation when the dishwasher is draining the water the pipe it is connected to under the sink over flows. I end up with a lot of water under my sink - The unique this is that my dishwasher pipe that connects the two is just placed in the pipe connected to the sink - any thoughts on how to stop the waterfall under my sink

i assume this has recently started to happen? it sounds like the pipe is parially blocked, you can either take it apart or use a "foaming cleaner"

Also you should be able to get a sink trap that has a side extension for hoses, you then put a jubilee clip round and tighten it up.

I wouldn't recomend one of those sink trap ones with the extra spigot as they are inclined to get blocked quicker, but that's just my opinion
