Hi, not sure if i am asking in the right forum, but thought as this was general to building i would try there.

So had an issue with dishwasher and water has gone through the floor to downstairs...

Currently allowing my floor to dry for at least a week before to get new dishwasher.

Question is about the downstairs ceiling - how long we should leave it to dry before to apply stain blocker and paint it white again?

Thanks,

Was this a flood or some drips? If flood, give it a fortnight (with heating on), put a straight edge across the bit that got wet to make sure it hasn't sagged.
Be as well to get the laminate floor up as well, the cheaper (usually thinner) stuff won't tolerate prolonged dampness very well
