Hi all. Noticed from my bathroom basin recently as water drains away there's a notable splashing type sound... almost as if the water is just draining out the bottom and splashing on the floor! However there's no signs of any leaks.
It's a standard pedestal basin, waste goes straight down into a HepVo trap and then continues straight down a polypipe below the floor. I assume from there an elbow joint to carry it below the floor to join then stack somewhere.
The noise is concerning, as I said it sounds as if the water is just splashing out of the polypipe. But there's no sign of leaks on the ceilings below.
I've read Hepvos can fail and the bladder not seal/close correctly. Could it be this maybe? There's been no unpleasant smells or anything though.
