For what purpose?

(The answer is probably no in any case)

im building a viv for an iguana, as their will be a water fountain in the bottom of the viv as their will only be lilttle water even thought the iguana may decide to go in.

As far as i know i would like to protect them from humidity and mist damage.

If you make it from exterior grade MDF you will stand a better chance, this will still need coating on all surfaces with either a good quality oil based paint or one of the waterbased flooring lacquers/varnishes.
