Hi everyone

I need help regarding water coming off the roof and going into the gutter but it doesn`t go down the downspout it shoots off the end in a torrent .

I have cleaned the gutters and the downspout is clear but the problem still exists. The guttering is a cast metal type.

I hope someone can help

Thanks

picture?

posting a picture info is in forum information

my guess is gutter too small, blocked some where or wrong angle

Unfortunately I am unable to get a photo at this time. I dont know whether it may just be the sheer volume of water. I will post pictures as soon as I am able to

Thanks

It's "shooting" off the end of the gutter? Where is it picking up all its speed? Has the gutter got a significant slope?
I have a roof problem at the mo, you can read the thread and see the pics in "Roofing techniques question" - one of the pictures shows a cast iron guitter, and the outlet from gutter to downpipe is significantly smaller than the downpipe itself. Could something similar be the source of your problem?

As noted; post a pic. My thread got some great feedback when the guys could see the roof in action

Get a film crew out and video it too :D

If it's just to do with the amount of water & the angle of the dangle then perhaps making a shroud at the end to contain it may be an option?
