water tank empty

to start off with the water over flow was just gushing out. I turned the water off then switched it on again. But now the big water tank is empty no water cant shower. What is wrong? Help?

ball valve suck shut?

Turn the mains water back o and move the ballvalve up and down to see if water comes out to fill the tank.

If not call a competent plumber,
