I have damp marks in my bathroom above the shower. Is this the best method to paint out those marks also?
You really need to provide ventilation to take the damp air out of the bathroom. Yes, using oil-based paint will protect the ceiling from damp penetration and ultimately black stains, but you have to consider where that moisture will go if it doesn't soak into the ceiling. One way or the other, paint doesn't solve the bigger problem.
Thanx. My water problem was due to me being a crap plumber and using a compression elbow not a soldered one. Water leakage problem is now solved.
