Hi, I have a waterside water softener model number mc250 which I have had for 10 years. Recently, a problem has occurred where the water level in the salt tank has risen above the salt line, and does not drain away. I then have to manually remove the water with a jug in order to drain the water. I have also noticed that when the softener regenerates, the water drains into the outside drain, but in the final stage of the regeneration, this is where the tank refills with water and stays there, hence having to drain out manually.
I have checked the system for any blockage or leakage but there is none whatsoever. The clock also works normally. I would greatly appreciate if anyone can assist me on what problem is, or if there is a specific part that needs looking at. Thank you.
