the mixing valve @£400 either a vitodens 200

its prewired and quick to install...none of those silly actuators...

but dont buy the actuators, wiring centre, or mixing valve and pump from them...

ok my market is not bottom end as i am in london, but there are clients who will pay for quality...

Alec says £400 quid for a single room so presumably this is not accounting the extra circulator, possibly a zone valve and the ufh paraphanalia which will add another £300-£400 quid.

So thats nearly £800 and a rad would have it covered for less than a hundred quid.
The wc saving feature has a lot of work to do.

I was thinking from a control point of view. Excuse my ignorance... does the boiler produce say 80c then the mixers electronically adjust flow temp via the outside sensor?

Thanks.

wb have a mixing valve for UFH too , I almost guarantee it...
Good point! OP, have you decided on what UFH equipmnt you're using yet?
No, not yet. I'll be discussing my prefrences with my plumber following the advice I've got from here plus the manufacturers themselves. I'll then take on board his advice before deciding what solution to go with.

no the £400 includes the pump, no other paraphenalia....

UFH is not a cheap solution, but it needn't cost the earth either...

you have two curves, one for the radiator unmixed circuit and the other for the mixed circuit or floor..same with vaillant, and no doubt worcester bosch...

Ah I see, that makes sence. So Vaillant for example, their VR 61, It can have two curves when ised with the VRC430?

Makes it even stranger that they say it can't be used with UFH!

I think you have to understand their business model, and ao should the public..

Does it include over heat protection?
You need the pipework. A few hundred meters for any single room which is a couple of hundred quid.
Plus the possibility of the boiler cycling like the clappers on such a small area.

why would you need an overheat stat, if the boiler circuit and ufh circuits are compensated?

you csn add an overheat stat, its plug and play...

Andy, really, this is britain a nation of heating technophobes run by financial emgineers to generate profit...its cheaper to say it can't be done than equip installers with the skills through traing...

norcon, the boiler will do both all zones all the time at lower temperatures...cycling is pretty well inevitable on small systems any way...

Yea this is true! I've recently been speaking to Worcester tech about specifying a job with WC, UFH etc... they just don't have a clue!
