Wedi Shower Tray waste pipe question.

Hi all.
I have a Wedi Fundo Plano shower tray to fit to existing solvent welded 40mm waste pipe run. Will I be able to solvent weld to the outlet pipe that is built in to the tray or do I have to use push fit/compression?

The joint will be covered with mortar as per the instructions with the tray.

The tray and outlet pipe look like this...

If the wedi waste has a slight waxy feel then it is not solvent weld.
