weird lighting issue ?

Hello folks

I have a question about the living room main light, about a week ago it stopped working totally, fuses were checked and they had not flipped off so ruled this out and came to the conclusion that the light had it but just now after a week all of a sudden the light has come to life and is now working again by its own accord ?

any ideas please ?

After turning the power off check the terminal wires at the switch - one of them could be loose.
Alternatively your switch could be sticking.
