Hi,
We have had these wet patches appear above a new window - window was repealed by the company but every time it rains the patches spread & get worse. We have discovered multiple cracks in the render where the wet started so we are getting the house re-rendered. I just wondered how long it would take for the brick to dry out once the new render has been applied? Worried the wet patches will keep forming even after new render

I get the impression you mean the damp patches appeared after the window was fitted, and not before.

Is that what you mean?

Please photograph the outside

A wide view of the whole wall, including any downpipes and gutters above

Details of the window in the wall, including the sealing and any gaps where the window is fitted, all round, and especially at the top.

The lintel or arch above the window
