hi
I'm in the process of planning a wet room on the ground floor there is a soil stack running up the inside wall with one flat above it looks like I can dig the concrete away from around the stack and get a strap boss around the pipe to give me a 40mm connection for my floor drain (about 4ft away)
Will this be a suitable plan considering there is a flat above me I'm just considering if flushing the toilet above would cause any problems with the floor drain ?

I have been to many flats where there is a blocked manhole and the first 'overflow' is on the ground floor flat shower tray.
