i have two mates with two different problems.

1> toilet on ground floor( bungalow) and connected to a soil stack about 2 meter away. soil stack vents up though the roof. the toilet when you flush drains away too well and nearly takes all the water with it . making a glugging sound? any helpl? there is no air amettance valve on the top of soil stack. would it help if it had one. it is outside the roof.

2. set up is bath basin toilet. when flushing toilet it fills nearly to the top then drains away but the some of the water comes up though the bath. the bath and basin drain away no problem. he lives on 3rd floor of flat the person below does not have a problem. however a few eeks ago he did see a drainage man clearing a manhole and his problem vanished. do you think it is a comunal drain blockage problem.

any help many thanks
