wet room shower waste/trap

Hello,

Currently looking at installing a wet room shower and I'm curious about the waste trap. Do the waste units have a U bend type arrangement built in? Looking at something like this:

Yes, it's inbuilt. The seal is created by two concentric tubes with water between them. Sounds a lot more complicated than it is.
