I'm looking at a back boiler stove, as in the last house we always had the wood burner on and always thought it was a waste not to be heating some water up, probably linking this to a large tank to act as a thermal battery.
I'm also thinking about Wet UFH on the downstairs for a 1930's semi, as it needs gutting with new boiler pipes and rads put in due to the insitu ones being old and rubbish. This will be heated by the water via the back boiler stove and hopefully also a regular boiler (linking into the tank if possible).
I have to replace some beams/joists under the floor or what will be the kitchen diner so will have to take up most of the floor boards, hence replace with thick board to run pipes and screed and file tile on the top.
So any thoughts from those who have done something similar either Wet UFH or back boiler stove, or both.
