Hello

I have a vauxhall cosa 1.2 about eight years old.
Every time it rains the footwell on the drivers side has become very wet, even if it hasnt been driven. i have checked the drain flaps for blockages under the bonnet and all seems ok, as do the door seals window ect.
Any thoughts ?

Many thanks Grum

have you checked under the wiper panel ? loads of crap gets lodged there and so tends to hold water until the water finds a way out, normally into the car

I once had an Opal Manta which had corroded under the battery & leaked rain water into the passenger footwell.

Check around the cabin particle filter

Quick update

Checked under wiper plates and cleaned out debris
Cabinfilter box was loose where it connected to bulkhead, so took it off resealed and refitted.
will give silicone time to go off before trying out with hose.

Thanks to those who replyed

At least you have a good leak so you will know when you find it.

Sunroof if fitted and windscreen if replacement

Can be a devil of a job to find, hopefully it was the filter.

I have heard the door seals leaks but mine have been ok. The best thing you can do is get someone to soak the car with a hose pipe while you sit in it to check for leaks.
