What a load of baffles

I have just changed the baffles in an oil boiler as the old ones were at the least mis-shaped and the worst very mis-shaped and split. What does anyone think has caused this and how can I make sure it doesn't happen again.
It is a small Grant about 2 yrs old situated in a small cupboard in a bungalow. On the first visit the 2 air vents in the cupboard door were covered over with card. It also has a silencer on it. Cheers all.

Over heating, poor combustion, baffles not fitted correctly.

Is temp stat working.

Have you checked combustion with FGA

Make sure vents are clear
