These particular items are used for radio control sail boats to tighten the sails.
I want to avoid the £2 each as you can use 5 for each sail and could have up to 4 sails :mad:
 
I have seen spring merchants on ebay, though never looked for that type before

I bet the factory turns them out at 50p a hundred.
