Hi all - quick decription for you.

We have a combi boiler downsatairs and a cylinder with a stat on it upstairs - most rads have TRVs on them and there's a room stat in the hall.

We have good heating now and the hot water ok (unless we use a load of it)

So what's the problem???

I'm baffled by 3 switches that we have - One outside each of the 2 bathrooms and one in the airing cupboard with a wire running up to the top of the Cylinder.

All 3 switches have a red LED that lights up when they're on and the 2 bathroom ones seem to be linked because switching one of them on activates BOTH LEDs - (but not the one in the cupboard)

Is this an immersion heater like my mum and dad used to have (i was constantly having to go and turn that damn thing on)

Anyway whatever it is - how do i use it (or do I not need to)

Cheers guys

Steve

Are you sure the cylinder is being used and not just an old empty cylinder?? Why have a cylinder if you have a combi??????

One for immersion heater surely. Turn the other two off and see what stops - fan, shower pump...

OK - It might not be a combi - Sorry - Just a boiler down in the kitchen (Potterton Suprima) :D They not for the shower i don't think (they're both Mira and run off the the water pipes directly as a mixer)
