A good quality laminate springs to mind and looks great in kitchens as per Property Ladder.
As for Sarah Beeny, well I'm in love

I'll deal with Sarah Beeny in a minute. I bought some laminate flooring at the weekend to cover my kitchen floor and I'm really not sure about it. I think it looks ok, but the stuff I bought from Homebase isn't very well made and aggravating to lay. It also sounds cheap when you walk on it. maybe I'm being too fussy. But I want to get tthe flooring right and at the moment the laminate's in the shed awaiting my decision.
As for Sarah Beeny, sometimes she looks great I agree, but then she'll turn up wearing clothing far too young for her, and what the hell is going on with her hair? Great body though! ;)

u need to put underlay under the laminate, they do a standard thin foam type or use something a bit thicker like felt, thus the laminate won't ssqueak too much when u walk on it.

I did try the thin foam stuff. Maybe I should get something thicker.
