Hi, i have a pine staircase, with no coverings on. After 2 years the treads look terrible, mainly due to dog wear and tear, really deep scratches etc. the risers and rest of the staircase still look good.

I was looking for a non-carpet solution, like an aluminium plate or a rubber cover that can be fixed permanently on each tread, but i cant find any products out there.

any ideas please?
regards
Alison.
