I need five new radiators + trv fitted

I got some quotes and most were in the 400-500 pound range..

However one guy (qualified plumber quoted £150

Money is tight so im tempted to go with the cheap quote.. However i am conscious of 'buy cheap buy twice'

But does that apply with radiator hanging?

As long as the right fixing is used, inhibitor is added, can i expect much to possibly go wrong?

(braces myself:)

Have you looked at the price of buying 5 yourself, £150 for 5 + fitting, + draining and refilling+ time etc = ubelievable price!

£30 per rad is surely just throwing them on the wall, did he fully understand you?

Yes the pricepis bonkers

That's why I'm a little worried

The guy is obviously cheap cause he wants the work, is foreign and building a rep

To keep the price down i agreed to remove all old rads

I'll buy all the rads myself

@75pete should i be worried about poss things that could go wrong? Or is the job straight forward

We all worry about what could go wrong and experience brings answers to the "If`s". ;)

Things can go wrong no matter how much you pay. Best bet is to get a plumber that is recommended to you by people who have used their services.
