Hope someone can help, i am in the process of renovating a victorian terrace... there was a small single story kitchen on the back of the house so i have had it knocked through into the main part of the house. The extension is made from basic brick approx 9" thick and no cavity i was worried it would make the room colder so i have built a stud wall in front of it put a vapour barrier up and packed with insulation. i have started to put plasterboard over the top but had to stop because i am waiting on the electrician to drop some cables in. However i have noticed mould has started to form in the window area what can i do to stop it?....what did i do wrong?.
Is this caused by condensation?, there is no central heating at the moment its on the to do list.
The window is new fitted by a professional and the outside wall has been newly rendered.
