I am building the shower part of our new ensuite room, it is sitting in the end of the room surrounded by 3 wall which will be tiled with a glass sliding door to the front.
One wall is solid brick with victorian plaster on it. One wall is victorian stud wall (lathe & plaster) and the other I am building a stud wall out of 3x2.
My original plan was to seal the plaster & brick wall (with something like BAL prime APD).
Fix aquapanel over the victorian lathe & plaster stud wall.
Fix aquapanel over moisture resistant plasterboard onto the new stud wall (this is because the new stud wall will be double skinned)
I was also thinking of putting a vapour barrier under the aquapanel.
Having done more research I was wondering if this is the best way to do this.
My other idea would be to fix moisture resistant plaster board inplace of the aquapanel, skim and then tank.
Thought?
