I am about to fit kitchen wall cabinets onto a wall made from Celcon aircrete blocks. They are not the best material to hold fixings, so advice please as to the best fixture to ensure a permanent solid job. I have already used decent sized rawlplugs for lightweight jobs and they seem OK, but as you know kitchen cabinets can hold a lot of weight. I've also thought about fitting a wooden batten to rest the cupboards on.
What is the current way of doing this job - all you kitchen fitters out there?
Thanks

Spiral nylon plugs, have 'wings' that open up as you drive a screw in forcing the plug deeper.
