We're in a conservation area and about to fit replacement timber (redwood pine) sash and case windows.
One of the window companies offers traditional linseed oil paint as an alternative finish and another offers paints from the Butinox range. Both can offer regular micro porous paint.
With the windows being brand new it would be the perfect time to chose what to use and I would be very grateful to benefit from the wisdom in the forum here so I can make the best choice.
