Am I cheaper to run 1 bar of an electric fire for say 5 hours a day or my brick storage heater which is on all the time set at 3? both are connected to Total Control meter.
Thanks for help.

Too many variables in there for a straightforward answer.

What is the rating (in Watts) of 1 bar of your fire?

What is the rating of the night storage heater?

How long does it take to re-heat your storage heater?

How much per KWh is your off-peak supply tariff?

How much per KWh is your standard supply tariff?

...And does the storage heater provide enough heat for your needs?

If you know the above then the cost of running the storage heater is :-

Rating (in KiloWatts) X recharge time (in hours) X off-peak price per KWh

And the cost of running a 1 bar fire is:-

Rating X running time X standard price per KWh

brick storage heater which is on all the time
If it really is on all the time, it has been installed incorrectly and will be costing you far more than it should.
They are designed to charge for a specified period (7 hours usually), and then release the heat over the remainder of the day.
