I've built some boxing to conceal cistern and boiler in the new shower room (yep, left service clearance, ventilation etc for boiler!). The toilet pan will obviously butt up flush to the boxing. (Um, just read that back... no puns intended)

I'm pondering over the kind of finish to give the marine ply that I've built it from.
I'm considering paint, possibly eggshell or satin over coats of well rubbed down primer to give it a smooth finish.
I'd want it to be cleanable (got two small boys who are still developing their sense of aim)

More robust options are a bathroom paint finish, or even tiles.
Can't decide though, what's eveyone's thoughts on this?

I half tiled my bathroom and T and G'd the bottom half which I painted white satin gloss. It looked great for a while. It wasn't long before the white gloss turned yellowish though. The ceiling was also T and G'd but I had painted it with a few coats of white vinyl matt. The matt is still brilliantly white - but as you know matt is flat.

just some thoughts...
