I'm having my new kitchen area skimmed and wondering what I need to coat the walls with before applying a colour? Do I need a watered down emulsion first, then another thicker coat before the top coat colour?

In a kitchen buy some Dulux Trade Vinyl Matt (in colour). Apply first coat and thin down by 25% water. Then apply a second coat but only thin down by 10% this time (new mix). Then leave for 6 months or 1 year and coat your surfaces again with Dulux Trade Vinyl Soft Sheen, in the same colour.
