Hello, have to completely refurb a house. Can anyone give advice on what screw sizes, ie length and dia, to fix floor boards, skirting, door frames etc. Would like a list as a reference, of anything that is regularly fixed to a wall, floor or ceiling. Thanks Steve

Generally speaking 1/3 thickness and 2/3 into wall or floor, if a skirting board is 15mm thick then you will need a minimum of 45mm length screws/nails (3 x 15 = 45) I always use longer screws for door frame to take the weight of the door
