I need to put a bullnose edge on a 20mm x 1.5m thick piece of oak. I have a 1/4" shank trim router. Would a 3/8"/9.5mm radius round over bit, done in 2 passes, one for each edge, along the length, be the right way to go, or is it better to get a proper bullnose bit and do it in one pass? If so, what size do I need for 20mm thick oak? Cheers.

When I need to round off a window board or similar I usually grab my "hollow" wooden hand plane.....made in 1796 !!! ( before the battle of Trafalgar!!) A few passes and a bit of sandpaper and a perfect bullnose is the result!
