What smoke detector

I am fitting mains powered smoke detectors around the house.

But the question is i have a utility room just off the kitchen, with a separate door. in the utility we have a washing machine and a tumble dryer, whats the best detector to fit here?
should i fit an ionisation alarm here?

A heat detector would be the best choice.

Go for the Aico Easyfit range - They are slim, smart looking and have an integral wiring area as opposed to the cheap ones which should have a box mounted behind them (although DIY'ers seem to think terminal blocks above the ceiling is fine!.......IT'S NOT!).
