We have always owned period houses (current one built around 1915) which have had wooden suspended floors upstairs and down.
We are currently looking to move to a house built around 15 years ago and am curious about what to expect in terms of floor construction - expect ground floor to be solid of course , but will the first floor floors still be traditional floor boards or will it be some sort of horrible chipboard sheeting?
Reason for the question is for future reference regards ease of running cables for extra sockets if needed etc.
Can't check floor construction easily as the house is fully carpeted and we don't own it yet so can't rally start lifting carpets to inspect (house not occupied so no current owner available to ask).
Thanks
