what to cut loft insulation

Hi

Do I use a normal saw to cut through rolls of loft insulation?

When its rolled out and needs trimming what do i use then?

while its in a roll a hand saw will cut it fine. once rolled out trim with a stanley knife

Once it's unrolled, a bread knife of a very big pair of scissors. Easier if you can compress it where you want to cut.
