Hi, in my property there are gaps/cracking between the upvc door and the wall.

In most other properties the upvc door has trim on the sides that covers this up.

Also I have the same gaps/cracking around the window frames.

What should I use to tidy this up, decorators caulk or some frame sealant like this:

First thing to do is to check the door is actually in the right position and frame is solid.

Sometimes this can be caused by wrongly placed fixings etc.

If all is well then the fix is simple and a good caulk or frame sealant will work well.

I'd scrape out any loose sealant and come down the wall side with some polyfilla. When dry, sand it flush with the rest of the wall. You now have a nice neat edge to put some door sealant down.

The house is a new build I think they didn't really finish it off properly, the window frames are the same (no sealant on the inside)
This is one of the window frames, not a big deal just looks a little untidy.

I think I will fill up any big gaps, sand smooth and use some frame sealant (y)

Can you show where the window is positioned in the reveal?
