Hiya every one thanks in advance for your help:

After watching few videos in you tube I decided to plaster the walls of my house.

Now I am planing to painted but hire is my question. I don't have any idea of what type of paint shall I use?

I would like to use a Magnolia color for all the walls on the floors (not on the rooms)

Any help Please.

start with a matt emulsion. Dulux trade supermatt is very good. After you have painted it, you may spot some blemishes that you need to correct, so using white the first time is more economical than colours.

Apply at least one well-thinned mist coat. if the plaster is dry and hungry apply another thinned coat so that it does not suck the moisture out of your brush.

You can use silk finish next time, but the matt adheres better for your first time, and also allows the new plaster to dry out.

If you use silk the first time, it is more shiny and the next time, if you try to use matt on top, it will not adhere so well.

Hi john,

I was wondering if the is any product like undercoat paint that I could use firtsly to cover some inperfections on the plaster walls and then use this Dulux supermatt coat and the final coat use the magnolia silk finish
many thanks
