I have a dwarf fruit tree that I only put in this spring and due to other activities in the garden, this is now in the wrong place and needs moving.
What the best time to do this from the trees health perspective and could it been done in the Autumn ? It blossomed but didn't produce any fruit this year and the leaves are just starting to turn in colour, if that helps.
Many thanks in advance.

jobby - during it's dormant stage ... after leaf drop ... Autumn.

I agree. When I went to purchase my apple tree the guy in the nursery advised me to hold off until January.
He said that January was a better time as his trees were growing in his field, so he had to dig it up for me.

I believe you can plant container grown trees anytime of year though.
