I need to screw something to the bottom of a laminate kitchen worktop being used as a 2.3m wall-mounted computer desk.

The screw needs to be long enough to get through one of these (width ways - through the 50mm section), then far enough into the 40mm laminate worktop from the bottom:

Underneath will be mounted one of these:

Which weighs 7kg.

Looking at it now I might have to attach at least 1 leg to the middle of it because of the weight?

Anyone have any better ideas? Is it even possible to mount something so heavy to a laminate worktop? It's not just the weight of the product but also the enclosure it will slide into... which will consist of wooden battens and an outer plywood slide-over box.

Thanks guys.
