Anyone ever noticed that if you place to "ignore" all the chaff posts on any given thread you can very nearly make sense of a problem to a solution?

No, me neither. The signal to noise ratio is WAY to high.

I am guessing that you mean that you have more chance of spotting the solution to the problem if you ignore most of the earlier responses?
If that's the correct reading of your post then I think it depends on the sub-forum; some are way more off-topic / dumb-response ridden than others.
