if you want to veiw the cameras over the internet try and find one with a additional video quality line purely for the network.

System Q do a DVR that will record in full quality to the HDD in MPEG format and will also output using h.264 onto the network. h.264 gives smaller file sizes than MPEG and therefore lowers the load on the network allowing the images to load faster giving better FPS on a slower connection.


remember its the UPLOAD rate on the internet at the DVR that will decide the FPS at your home pc ( of the pc viewing the images) tho the download rate will have an effect aswell

Cheers.. Net viewing isn't going to be the main use, it just makes sense to have it and on the odd occasion, use it.
