Where can I find a replica cupboard door?

Hello,

One of my kitchen cupboard doors is cracked. Where do I find an exact match? I've looked at B&Q, Wickes, and such, and no matches. Is there a place that would make one up for me?

Really? I bought one from Wickes the other day, and it was almost an exact match, slightly too large. What do other people do in this situation? Can't be the only person to need a replacement door.

if you have a "remote " door the same can you not get the closest match and swap the doors

I could, but it won't be an exact match, so it won't look right?

I thought some places made up doors for you?

Yes - you can get a local carpentry place which will make a door for you but it will cost a few bob.

Have a look locally and make a few calls to get the best quoted price.

Be aware that it will cost far more than just buying one off the shelf but if you want an exact copy then that's the only way to go without knowing the original supplier/manufacturer.

Anyone please give me an idea of how much it will cost to get a joiner to do it? I've found a place that will let me alter the size of the rails, but I want to compare it with a joiner. I've rung a few joiners but nobody has been able to help, thought this might be better, Thanks.

No big joinery shop is going to want to take on a one off like this I wouldn't have thought. They know that if they quoted for it, it would be more expensive than it was worth to most people. You might get a restorer or a furniture maker who was used to, and set up for making "one offs" but it's not going to be cheap because of the hassle of making one of anything to exactly match something else, and for the possibility of the customer not being happy that it's not absolutely the same. Finishing to match is another problem of course.
Probably far better and possibly even cheaper to replace the lot with "off the shelf" doors.

The only other thing I can think of is one of the "surface repair specialists"
Do a Google search.
None of them is connection to me incidentally.
I have heard that they do a good job, although I haven't tried them personally.
I don't think they are cheap, but it could be worth an ask.
